Landing and Site – Differences and Features

A landing page is a web resource that consists of only one page, where several or a single product is sold, and one or several services are offered. A person visiting a landing page will not have to spend a long time searching for what they need. They can immediately take advantage of the offer.

A landing page includes contact information, triggers (for example, time limitations for the visitor), as well as a form for purchasing a product or ordering a service, containing a minimum of fields. Besides, it is advisable to place more media files – videos or photos, and conversely, minimize the text.

How to Make a Landing Page More Effective

To make a landing page beneficial, it must have a mobile version. In today’s world, people use mobile phones much more frequently. That’s why the site should be adapted for smartphones and even for televisions.

A great advantage of a landing page is that it can be created very quickly. To build a large, information-filled web resource, considerable effort is required. However, a landing page can be constructed using a builder in just a few hours. With a ready-made site, quick tests can be conducted – to check whether there will be leads and what the traffic cost will be. Overall, a landing page costs significantly less than a large site.

Advantages of a Landing Page

To understand whether to choose a landing page or a site, it’s essential to also consider the pros and cons of comprehensive websites. Let’s begin by listing the advantages:

  • A significant number of landing pages. Each individual page on the site essentially serves as a landing page. Most industries (repair services, medicine) require different pages.
  • A wealth of information. This is a substantial plus for SEO because the more text there is, the easier it is to promote the web resource in search results.
  • Extensive possibilities. Free traffic is much easier to attract to a site that has lots of information. With a landing page, traffic can only be purchased.
  • Suitable for business development. If you plan to create and develop an online store, a landing page is unsuitable. Here, a full-fledged and large site is needed.

Disadvantages of a Full-Fledged Site:

  • It has quite a high cost and takes a long time to develop. Creating a large site requires investment and possibly waiting several months or half a year.
  • Cannot conduct quick tests.
  • Constant updates are needed. A site requires continuous attention – updating information, new texts and media files, and technical support.

You need to understand that if you invest in a site, you will either have to develop it or endure losses. Therefore, if you don’t have global plans, it’s better to create a landing page.
